About Us

Founded in 1986 by its current board of Directors, S.J.S Ltd has developed into one of the largest independent janitorial suppliers in the North of England; operating from our purpose built 13,000 sq. ft. warehouse, offices and training centre in Keighley.  Our company’s continuous drive towards a policy of providing first class service and quality products was rewarded in 1994 with the accreditation of ISO 9001:2008 standard.

 

Alongside growth has come diversity, with expansion into market sectors such as catering and leisure.  This has been facilitated by our membership of the Jangro Group and the availability of the highly respected Jangro branded products.  Jangro has provided a unique purchasing strength and allowed us to enhance our marketing tools through various initiatives, such as our extremely successful customer training programme.

 

Despite these changes, we continually pride ourselves in maintaining the level of customer service and quality of products that have become our trademark over the years.

Accreditation

Scott Janitorial became an ISO 9001:2008 Accredited Company in November 1994 (Certificate Number GB94/4076).  We are independently audited annually by SGS Yarsley Ltd, an internationally recognised certification body.

 

We are a member of CHSA (Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association).

 

This manufacturing accreditation scheme protects standards throughout our industry, ensuring our customers are guaranteed to receive exactly what they ordered and paid for.  This scheme is policed by independent inspectors.

 

     

Quality – Sustainability

 

With over 4000 quality products to choose from, the Jangro brand has become recognisable and highly respected by our customers and throughout our industry.  Our products are manufactured under license by carefully selected and approved suppliers, all of whom are certified to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001.  Our environmental range of paper products is produced from sustainable forests and the manufacturers are accredited to the PEFC forest council and the Nordic Swan label; which is one of the highest certifications in the paper industry.

 

 

Environmental

 

In addition to our products, Scott Janitorial Supplies have a strict internal policy with regard to environmental issues.  We recycle all our cardboard, paper and plastics through Bradford Council and we were recently awarded a certification for our environmental achievements.

 

We operate a fleet of Mercedes Benz delivery vehicles fitted with the latest Euro 5 rated engines, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.  Our vehicles are also fitted with sophisticated tracking systems, which enable efficient route planning and help us to monitor the speed of each vehicle, all of which assists us in reducing our carbon footprint.  We are committed to protecting the environment at all levels of our business activity.  Minimisation and where possible, total prevention of pollution is and always has been a core value of our company.
